Huayuan Art

Huayuan Art is a global initiative driven and inspired by traditional East Asian art and culture. We seek to share and spread appreciation of the artistic and cultural wonders conceived in this region of Asia - while uniting a growing international community of artists, scholars, specialists, and institutions in the process.

Launched in New York in 2013 by our parent company, the Huayuan Group, Huayuan Art focuses primarily on arts of the Silk Road, including replicas of cave art, and thangkas from East Asia. This focus stems from the Huayuan Group’s dedication to the advancement of the cultural industry of Gansu, China—an economically and culturally vital province between China and Central Asia during the Silk Road, and home to famous Buddhist grottoes, such as the Mogao Caves. Our collection continues to grow as the Huayuan Art initiative develops. We are excited to announce that as of early 2016, more extensive variety has been introduced into our collection, including beautiful pieces of Suzhou embroidery.

We hope to satiate the interest in East Asian culture and art in the New York metropolitan area, and to inspire others to discover the value in these unique creations that hold ancient historical and cultural meanings.
